Arnold Lazarus (1932- ) is a South African psychologist and psychotherapist. He originated the term “behavioural therapy” in the professional literature. He later incorporated cognitive aspects into his theory, developing a multimodal method considered to be one of the most effective cognitive-behavioural therapy methods.
