The endocrine glands are specialized organs which secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. The endocrine glands in the human body are the pituitary gland, thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, pancreas, adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla, and the gonads. Smaller hormone-secreting glands can also be found throughout the body.
