Daniel Kahneman (1934- ) is an Israeli-American psychologist, who shared the 2002 Nobel Prize in Economics with Amos Tversky for their work on prospect theory. Kahneman is a leading researcher in the areas of human decision making, heuristics and prejudices, and in 2011 he was listed as one of the most influential global thinkers by Foreign Policy.
