Dependent personality disorder is characterized by behaviours such as pervasive and excessive reliance on other people to make everyday decisions, as well as lack of initiative, clinging behaviour, feelings of helplessness and incompetence, and difficulty expressing disagreement for fear of disapproval or loss of support.
